Tweetie - oh so pretty

As an avid twitter user with three accounts I’ve been using Nambu for the last 3 months solely for it’s multiple account support. I always wished Twitterific had this sort of feature and I pined for the simplicity of that application. Then today, Tweetie came along and within the first 5 minutes I was sold.
What I love about this is that it takes the OSX ichat look and translates it to the twitter world. I’m surprised no one thought of this sooner as the result is delightful and amazingly simple. Despite the bubble approach taking up more vertical space I find that my eye can scan my incoming tweets easier and faster than I could on Nambu. I also really love the way that direct message are handled in this sort of chat format.
So I’m sticking with tweetie for now and looking forward to discovering the hidden features I haven’t gotten to yet. One thing that will be interesting is if people end up paying for the tool to get the ad free version.
